Sunday, December 6
The second Sunday of Advent (Dec. 6) is John the Baptist Sunday. On that day we will collect gently used coats and sweaters for those less fortunate. John the Baptist taught that anyone who has two coats should take one and give it to someone who has none. We are asking you to look through your closets and see if you have that extra coat or sweater that you just haven’t worn in so long and may no longer really need. Bring it (or them) to church on a Sunday or during the Helping Hands drive on Sat. morning 12/5 for donation. Your Mission committee decided that we would donate the men’s coats to One Man’s Treasure and the women’s coats to Women In Need. You could even tell your relatives and friends to donate!! Let’s help make the holidays and the coming winter months warm and cozy for someone who really needs it!! Feel God’s Love, Be God’s Love!!
