Mini Film Festival planned for March 3 at 5 p.m.

Come see a movie, eat Middle Eastern food

Sunday, March 3 at 5 p.m.

Come see the film The Wanted 18 and enjoy a wonderful meal provided by our Palestinian brothers and sisters in the DFW area. The Rev. Craig Hunter of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Denton will be leading this event and bringing along friends who will be feeding us and joining us for conversation following the movie.

The Wanted 18 is a 2014 Canadian-Palestinian animated documentary about the efforts of the people of Beit Sahour (a primarily Christian community outside of Bethlehem in Palestine) to start a small local dairy industry during the First Intifada, hiding a herd of 18 dairy cows from Israeli security forces when the dairy collective was deemed a threat to Israel's national security. The film was the Palestinian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 88th Academy Awards.

The event, which will begin at 5 p.m., is presented by Grace Presbytery's Israel Palestinian Mission Network, of which Pastor Cheryl is a member. Childcare will be provided.
